The Federation of Austrian Industry as a guest of Leonhard Lang

Burrhus Lang and Klaus Draxl welcomed the guests.

The presentation of the company impressed the participants very much. Not only because Leonhard Lang has been a true family business for more than 150 years, but also because the special commitment of the employees has created medical products that are used worldwide on a daily basis. Production, special machine construction, process management as well as research and development have been built up to the highest level over the years.

Finest precision work
The presentation of the company was followed by a tour of the innovation and production center. The precision work of the specialists at all levels was impressive. Both the development of the products and the production and measuring methods using innovative software systems are accompanied by a demanding quality management system.

Sustainable energy
GF Burrhus Lang also relies on sustainable energy generation through photovoltaics, among other things. The first plant with 78 kWp was erected in 2018. In 2022, the second plant with 75 kWp followed. In 2023, another one with 350 kWp will be commissioned. In the course of the new construction at the Plant 2 site, the installation of a very large photovoltaic system is planned, which will cover the entire roof and large parts of the facade. In combination with groundwater for heating and cooling purposes, further independence in the area of energy supply can then be created.
