New city bike station in Rossau: our employees can now benefit from a discounted rate right outside the door
On November 5, 2025, three new city bike stations were opened in Innsbruck - two of them directly in the Rossau district and another at Rum train station. This is another important step towards sustainable, healthy and modern mobility in our city.
We are particularly pleased that one of the new stations was co-financed by our company. From now on, our employees can use the practical Citybikes right outside the door - and at an attractive discounted rate.
Grand opening in the Rossau district
The opening was marked by a short bike tour through Rossau, accompanied by Mayor Johannes Anzengruber, City Councillor Mariella Lutz, City Councillor Janine Bex, IVB Managing Director Ekkehard Allinger-Csollich and Neighbourhood Manager Gudrun Pechtl. The tour started at the new station in Valiergasse and then continued to the city bike station on the corner of Grabenweg and Josef-Mayr-Nusser-Weg, which we support.
Managing Director Burrhus Lang welcomed the guests on site - a wonderful moment that underlines the close connection between our company and the Rossau site and our commitment to modern mobility.
A benefit for employees, visitors
With the three new stations, IVB's range of city bikes is growing by a further 50 bikes - which means:
- even shorter distances within the Rossau,
- a convenient connection to Rum station,
- easy access to a sustainable and flexible mobility service.
Our employees also benefit from a special rate - ideal for lunch breaks, short errands or the daily commute.
Why we support this project
The Stadtrader expansion combines many values that are important to us:
- Promoting sustainable mobility
- Contribution to health, exercise and prevention
- Strengthening the sharing concept
- Less car traffic and better quality of life in the neighborhood
The successful opening - complete with sunshine, a good atmosphere and cinnamon buns from Tomaselli - showed how important and positive mobility projects can be for the city and the economy.
